Plaquenil has the ability to inhibit the effects of toxic, free radicals produced during metabolism (antioxidant activity). In addition, it excludes the essential activity of protozoa that cause infectious diseases; in particular, this applies to the malaria pathogen, and also inhibits inflammatory reactions. Another feature is the suppression of the synthesis of species that activate the immune system. This helps to reduce autoimmune processes. Plaquenil has the ability to inhibit the formation of a rheumatoid factor - immunoglobulin (antibodies). The manufacturer of Plaquenil is Sanofi Aventis.
